About Me

I have been writing for years, and years…. and years. But most of it has been academic and/or work oriented. Now I am free to pursue my love of story telling and let my imagination rip by putting characters, places and events together in novels, travelogues and biographies.

My background is teaching and psychology; I am a parent, a traveller and am blessed with good friends in many parts of the world. For the last six years or so I have written a travel blog and have published the first book in the Fallout series while engaged in completing four other novels. I am also engaged in sifting through boxes of family papers and photos in an attempt to reveal the true history of my paternal family, not the one fabricated by past generations.

It’s just as well I love writing.

I have many other interests: art, crafts, exploring other cultures, travel, theatre… the list goes on. I have just taken on a new travel project; after spending three months in Australia recently I have realised that I need to explore more of my homeland and so on my birthday this year I will undertake the first stage of the project – driving round the entire coast of Britain.  My laptop will accompany me, of course, and I will be writing as I go.
